    GENERALITIES ABOUT GEARING
Gearing is highly individual; given every one’s riding style is unique. You and other riders will most likely have different gearing, even though you will be doing similar training drills, exercises and distances, under identical conditions.

The bigger the track, the bigger the gear/ the smaller the track, the smaller the gear
The longer the race, the smaller the gear/ the shorter the race, the bigger the gear
Smaller gears have more snap and quicker acceleration/ bigger gears have a higher “top end”, but take longer to wind up

A nice starting point for gearing on our track would be:
    49 X 15 = 88.2 " gear, 46 X 14 = 88.7 " gear, 42 X 13 = 87.2 " gear
